Job description

WHO are we looking for?

CAPTRUST is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Product Specialist to support advisor productivity tools, with a primary focus on our AI-native meeting assistant. This role will work closely with the Product Manager, Strategy & Transformation Office, IT, vendors, and business teams to evaluate new capabilities, support feature releases, configure tools for advisor workflows, and drive adoption of solutions that enhance advisor productivity and client experience.

While the AI meeting assistant is the primary responsibility, this role will also support adjacent tools and integrations and may expand to additional wealth technology solutions as the product ecosystem evolves. The ideal candidate has strong problem-solving skills, a collaborative mindset, and an interest in developing deeper product expertise across AI-enabled tools, vendor capabilities, and emerging integration patterns that can improve business processes.

The internal title for this role is intended to be Product Specialist | Product Management. 


  • Serve as a product specialist for the AI meeting assistant and related advisor productivity tools.
  • Engage directly with advisors when tool issues, questions, or feedback need product-level involvement.
  • Represent advisor workflow needs and enhancement opportunities in partnership with Product Management during vendor discussions.
  • Evaluate new features and capabilities from vendors and assess applicability to advisor workflows.
  • Stay current on vendor product roadmaps, releases, and architectural changes to anticipate impact on CAPTRUST and our advisors.
  • Develop and maintain practical awareness of the broader agentic AI ecosystem and emerging integration patterns across advisor productivity tools, surfacing opportunities relevant to our business.
  • Support and execute rollout plans for new features, including testing, communication, training, and post-launch monitoring.
  • Drive adoption through training, guidance, and ongoing support, coordinating with IT and vendor partners on troubleshooting and issue resolution.
  • Gather feedback and monitor adoption and usage trends to identify opportunities to improve functionality, usability, and workflow integration.
  • Act as a liaison between end users, Product, IT, and vendors to ensure alignment and effective communication.
  • Document use cases and best practices to support advisor enablement and effective tool usage.
  • Configure and contextualize productivity tools to fit CAPTRUST advisor workflows.
  • Document workflows, configurations, and requirements within the vendor product space to support enhancements and operational consistency.

  • Completion of a four-year college degree or equivalent years of relevant experience
  • 6-8 years’ experience working in client services for an organization that provides retirement plan services preferred
  • Experience supporting or administering business applications.
  • Experience in wealth management, financial services, or a related advisor-facing business.

Desired Qualifications/Skills:

  • Experience with AI tools, CRM (Dynamics 365 or comparable), or wealth technology platforms.
  • Exposure to agentic AI capabilities or AI integration patterns.
  • Familiarity with work management and delivery tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps.
  • Experience with vendor product evaluation, configuration, and roadmap engagement.
  • Familiarity with process and diagramming tools (e.g., Visio or equivalent).
  • Experience driving adoption of business technology platforms across distributed user bases.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage directly with business users, stakeholders, and vendors.
  • Demonstrated ability to gather requirements, document workflows, and translate business needs into practical technology solutions.
  • Proven ability to coordinate across business, technology, and vendor partners to drive outcomes.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
