Fall 2026 Feature Technical Direction Internship: 

  • Applications close: June 29, 2026 at 11:59pm PT

  • Program Dates: September 28 - December 3, 2026

  • Time Commitment: Part-Time (24 hours per week required)

  • Format: In Person (Tuesday - Thursday)

Job Description

Responsibilities: "What would you say you do here?"

  • Observe and assist Technical Directors with writing tools for the production pipeline

  • Craft and develop new software tools and applications to assist artists in large-scale feature animation productions

  • Test, debug, and extend existing tools and systems

  • Provide technical support to production artists

  • Support additional administrative and data-wrangling tasks as needed

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications: "What do I need to have in order to do this job?"

  • Programming experience

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Ability to work independently

  • Pursuing an Associate, Bachelor, or Graduate degree at a College/University (or equivalent), or a recent graduate (within six months)

  • Must be 18 years of age or older

  • Must be willing to work in Glendale, California

  • Ability to provide own relocation, housing and transportation

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship

Desired Qualifications: "What can I offer?"

  • Major in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Visualization, or Digital Media (or equivalent)

  • Experience in programming languages such as Python, C++, or JavaScript

  • Knowledge of computer graphics

  • Experience with project-tracking software such as Jira or equivalent

  • Understanding of digital content creation applications such as Maya, Houdini, and/or Nuke

  • Interest in Feature Animation

  • Solid grasp of revision control systems such as Git

  • Familiarity with User Experience (UX) concepts and/or User Interface (UI) design and development

Hourly Rate:  $17.87

Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, which currently requires contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week. Beginning January 5, 2026, hybrid employees will be required to work from the office a minimum of four days per week. The Company reserves the right to change in-office requirements at any time.
