Uni Digital is a Tucson, Arizona-based full-service managed IT, cloud services, and physical security company. We deliver comprehensive managed IT services, hosted solutions, structured cabling, access control, video surveillance, and intrusion detection across Arizona. We believe technology should be intuitive, not intimidating and we're looking for a skilled Lead Physical Security Technician to help us deliver on that promise.

This full-time position is built for experienced security professionals who thrive in a fast-paced, innovative environment. You will lead the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of enterprise-level access control, video surveillance, and intrusion systems in commercial environments. As the senior technical resource on job sites, you'll lead small crews, interface directly with clients, and ensure every project meets industry standards and customer expectations.

Duties

  • Install, configure, troubleshoot, and repair electronic access control systems including card readers, electronic strikes, maglocks, REX devices, door sensors, PTE buttons, and control boards.
  • Install and service commercial video surveillance systems including IP cameras, NVRs, and supporting network infrastructure.
  • Install, program, and maintain intrusion detection and alarm systems.
  • Program and configure security platforms including Avigilon Alta, Rhombus, Avigilon Unity, and DMP.
  • Understand relay logic and integrate access control, intrusion, low-voltage power, and network systems.
  • Install cable support systems (j-hooks, ladder rack) and perform structured cabling and data terminations.
  • Read and interpret floor plans, blueprints, diagrams, schematics, and cut sheets.
  • Maintain accurate records of installations, services, and repairs in compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Use of hand and power tools in both new construction and finished residential and commercial environments.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning

Qualification

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience installing and servicing commercial access control, video surveillance, or intrusion systems.
  • Proficiency with access control door hardware including electronic strikes, maglocks, REX, sensors, and control panels.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, technical documentation, and operational manuals.
  • Able to distinguish color codes.
  • Must be able to work on ladders and use power tools.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Comfortable working on ladders, scaffolding, man lifts, or in confined spaces at heights up to 60 feet.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
