Job description

Frog Holler Produce (Froghollerproduce.com), a subsidiary of Van Eerden Foodservice, seeks a proven Sales Consultant that will work primarily in the Flint, Oxford, and Fenton Michigan area to join our thriving team! “Team Frog” delivers the freshest produce and specialty foods to Ann Arbor, & Metro Detroit’s best restaurants, hotels, and sporting arenas!


The right candidate for this position will have:

  • Experience in developing and maintaining a profitable sales route by selling and servicing existing customers, opening new accounts, and increasing existing sales volume
  • A strong desire to sell and work on a commission basis
  • Ability to be an expert in produce and specialty foods and provide consultative support to restaurants
  • Great communication and organizational skills and be a TEAM PLAYER
  • Proactively solve issues and work with Purchasing, Customer Service, and Operations Departments to drive operational efficiencies and enhance customer experience

Duties Include: Build great relationships with customers through consultative selling, not afraid to enthusiastically cold-call, and a track-record as a high performer. Sales Consultants must manage customers’ accounts receivable, follow Frog’s sales processes, and achieve new & existing customer sales goals and metrics.

Pay/Benefits – Paid EVERY Thursday

  • Competitive Base Salary + Commission ($65,000 - $90,000+ annual opportunity)

This position is primarily focused on Flint, Oxford, and Fenton restaurants and chefs. We are looking for an individual who has sold to owners, purchasing directors, and chefs OR has experience as chef or manager in the hospitality industry. This person must:

  • Have sold against heavy competition and sold at a higher price
  • Be willing to prospect and have a track record of being a good closer
  • Be creative and a good problem solver.
  • Have experience in Foodservice or Hospitality
  • Have past success selling as a commissioned sales consultant
  • Utilize a CRM program, have experience spreadsheeting sales figures, and navigate an inventory system to pull historical data
  • Subscribe to a selling process that has measurable metrics to gauge prospecting and closing rates
