Job description

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and develop the Americas Non-Production Materials (NPM) purchasing team.
  • Drive sourcing strategies across logistics, capital equipment, MRO, IT, services, and other indirect spend categories.
  • Partner with plant leaders, buyers, and category managers to achieve cost savings and operational goals.
  • Champion continuous improvement and standardization of procurement processes across the Americas and global regions.
  • Lead digitalization initiatives to enhance purchasing efficiency, visibility, and performance.
  • Ensure compliance with internal, customer, and regulatory requirements through effective process governance and training.
  • Strengthen the strategic impact and visibility of the NPM function across the organization.
  • Foster collaboration between local and global procurement teams, suppliers, and key business stakeholders.
  • Improve ERP and supplier data quality to support analytics, reporting, and informed decision-making.
  • Manage day-to-day procurement activities with a focus on logistics and capital investments, including assembly equipment, presses, and manufacturing machinery.
Qualifications:
  • Can work out of South Haven, MI office or Farmington Hills, MI office!
  • 3+ years of procurement experience in automotive or manufacturing; regional or global responsibility preferred.
  • Expertise in indirect procurement categories, including capital equipment, logistics, MRO, IT, and services.
  • Proven success delivering cost savings, leading sourcing initiatives, and improving procurement processes.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to partner effectively with senior leaders and cross-functional teams.
  • SAP/ERP proficiency and strong analytical skills to drive data-based decisions and supplier performance.
  • 3+ years of people leadership experience with a track record of developing high-performing teams preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience working across multiple countries, plants, suppliers, and customers within a global organization, preferred.
