About This Role
This role is in Textron System's Land Systems - Crewed Land business area.
In this role, you will be responsible for :
  • As an integral member of the design team, you'll work under the supervision of the mechanical engineer ing manager and focus on Land Systems products
  • Performing research and trade studies.
  • Developing mechanical design concepts.
  • Creating and updating engineering drawings.
  • Hands-on support of fabrication, assembly, testing, and troubleshooting.
  • Design focus can consist of a combination of the following subsystems, depending on current needs: Vehicle hull structure, powertrain, suspension, steering, seating, auxiliary systems, and/or special equipment.
  • The ideal candidate should have a passion for vehicles and transformational systems technology, accompanied with exceptional communication skills, great attitude, be a result-oriented team player, and a great problem-solver.

Qualifications
  • Currently pursuing or have completed a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Must be able to demonstrate a solid foundation in mechanical design principles.
  • Ability to use computer-aided design tools is required; computer skills to include proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work 40 hours/week (This schedule is on a combination 5/8, 4/10, with every other Friday off!)
  • Experience in 3D Computer-Aided Design (CAD) such as SolidWorks, NX, CATIA, or Pro-E preferred.
  • Member of Baja SAE, Formula SAE, SAE Clean Snowmobile, or other vehicle related experience preferred.
  • This position requires an individual to be a U.S citizen with the ability to obtain a security clearance.
