Job description

Position Summary

The Fresh Cut Production Associate is responsible for cleaning, slicing, sorting, inspecting, and packaging fresh produce according to line leader and department supervisor instructions. This role supports the production process by preparing products for shipment while maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary work environment. The position requires attention to detail, efficiency, and adherence to food safety standards in a fast-paced, refrigerated production environment.

Essential Functions of the Role

  • Grade, classify, clean, slice, trim, sort, and package produce according to size, weight, color, and quality specifications
  • Place produce into bags, trays, or other packaging for shipment
  • Inspect products for quality and remove defective items such as bruised or scarred produce
  • Compare products against charts or samples to ensure adherence to quality standards
  • Notify supervisors of production or quality issues and assist with corrective actions
  • Maintain clean, organized, sanitized, and safe workstations and production areas
  • Work efficiently in a refrigerated production environment
  • Follow all company food safety procedures, GMPs, and SOPs

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Ability to stand and walk for 8+ hours per shift
  • Ability to distinguish colors accurately for produce grading
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment
  • Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining quality standards


Preferred Qualifications and Skills

Physical Requirements
