Job description

Job Summary
The Manager, National Account is responsible for acting as the main contact and sales person for Fresenius Kabi USA with group purchasing organizations (Acute, Post Acute, Oncology) and national account IDNs for Biosimilars. Create and maintain a strong long term working relationship based on established credibility, high service levels, and direct and frequent communication. The main objective is to grow FK business by adding existing and new biosimilar products to current customer base and to initiate, position, respond to, and negotiate long term profitable agreements in support of the goals and strategic direction of the company.
Interacts with Sales, Contract Marketing, Marketing, and Customer Service.
Salary Range: $145,000 - $160,000 per year
Position is eligible for the Sales Management bonus plan. Final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including, but not limited to experience level, education, knowledge, skills, and abilities. Responsibilities
  • Responsible for National Account representation to assigned group purchasing organizations, and select IDNs.
  • Requires excellent communication skills, written & oral, motivation, a professional presence and credibility, flexibility and the ability to listen and learn the business and needs of the customer.
  • Develops and negotiates profitable contracts with customized programs as needed.
  • Manages customer relationship and business.
  • Acts as the key communication link between National Account customer and all departments of Fresenius Kabi.
  • Responsible for communicating the contractual status to the Sales Force and supporting their efforts in calling on GPO/IDN membership. Also responsible for communicating and interacting with the key thought leaders and committee members in their IDN/GPO / Customer base.
  • Develops new markets as needed: oncology distributor, retail, alternate site, wholesaler/GPO, and individual health networks. If the customers of national accounts are in a state of flux and change, the Manager, National Accounts must be able to recognize it, adapt and keep Fresenius Kabi corporate focused on the customer.
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience required (National Account experience is preferred) within the oncology, critical care, analgesic and anti-infective acute markets.
  • A thorough understanding of the healthcare acute market, formularies, and drug distribution is necessary.
  • Strong contract negotiating skills required.
  • Ability to communicate and form strong relationships with multiple levels and responsibilities within the IDN organization and GPOs.
  • Must have the ability and willingness to travel frequently - Air/Auto.
  • Must maintain all requirements for access to customer sites, including active and current compliance with all credentialing requirements (may include COVID-19 and annual influenza vaccinations), in order to perform the essential functions of the role at customer locations.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and weekends to meet business/customer needs.
  • Participates in any and all reasonable work activities as assigned by management.
  • The Company's primary business language is English. The successful candidate must be able to effectively speak, read, write, and understand English to perform the essential functions of the position, including independently understanding policies, procedures, training materials, and workplace communications written in English due to our heavily regulated work environment.
