Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Egg Sales Trader to grow customer and supplier relationships, expand revenue, and drive profitable egg trading activity across markets. This role is ideal for a high-performing sales professional or trader with strong industry relationships, sharp commercial instincts, and a proven ability to win business, negotiate effectively, and manage deals from sourcing through execution.
The ideal candidate brings strong experience in egg sales, commodity trading, produce, protein, or related food distribution markets, along with an established network of customers and/or suppliers. This person should be highly entrepreneurial, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and adept at building revenue, growing margin, and solving market challenges in real time.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and grow a portfolio of customer and supplier relationships across wholesale, retail, and foodservice channels
  • Source and broker eggs from internal and external inventories to meet customer demand and optimize results
  • Drive new business development by identifying, pursuing, and closing new sales opportunities
  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, freight considerations, and delivery terms to maximize profitability
  • Monitor market pricing, supply-demand shifts, industry trends, and competitive activity
  • Partner closely with internal sales, operations, logistics, and leadership teams to ensure strong deal execution
  • Build long-term relationships with customers, suppliers, and industry partners based on trust, responsiveness, and results
  • Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and industry events
  • Maintain strong awareness of cross-border trade considerations, tariffs, logistics constraints, and applicable regulatory requirements
  • Consistently meet or exceed sales, gross margin, and account growth targets

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in egg sales, egg trading, commodity sales, produce, protein, or related agricultural/food markets
  • Existing book of business and/or established relationships with relevant customers, suppliers, or industry contacts
  • Demonstrated success in sales, trading, business development, and account growth
  • Strong negotiation, closing, and relationship management skills
  • Experience managing pricing discussions, contracts, and commercial terms
  • Familiarity with domestic and international logistics, freight coordination, and cross-border trade considerations
  • Strong understanding of market dynamics, including pricing fluctuations and supply-demand trends
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong sense of urgency, ownership, and accountability
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving, and highly collaborative environment
  • Experience selling into wholesale, retail, food manufacturing, or foodservice accounts
