Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Dispatcher to join our logistics team! In this vital role, you will coordinate the movement of freight, manage transportation schedules, and ensure seamless communication across various departments. Your proactive approach and exceptional communication skills will help optimize our supply chain operations, improve delivery efficiency, and uphold the highest standards of customer service. Duties
  • Coordinate and schedule pickups and deliveries using transportation management systems (TMS) such as Oracle Transportation Management and SyteLine to ensure timely dispatching of freight.
  • Utilize GPS and GIS tools to track vehicle locations, optimize routes, and improve overall transportation planning.
  • Communicate effectively with drivers, warehouse staff, carriers, and customers via multi-line phone systems and phone etiquette to relay instructions clearly and promptly.
  • Enter data accurately into systems like AS400 and Transportation Management platforms to maintain real-time records of shipments, dispatches, and fleet status.
  • Monitor fleet management systems to oversee vehicle availability, maintenance schedules, and compliance with safety regulations.
  • Assist with shipping & receiving processes, including coordinating freight movements with 3PL providers and managing logistics documentation.
  • Analyze transportation data to identify efficiencies, troubleshoot issues, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements
  • Proven experience in dispatching within a logistics or transportation environment.
  • Strong knowledge of transportation management systems (TMS), Oracle Transportation Management, SyteLine, and AS400 platforms.
