Sales Executive – Freight Forwarding - 77389
Location: Spring, TX
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Sales Executive to join our growing freight forwarding team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of developing new business and managing customer relationships within the international logistics industry. A strong background in ocean freight is required, with experience in both import and export services highly preferred.
This role is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, expanding existing accounts, and working closely with operations to ensure exceptional customer service and successful execution of customer shipments.
Responsibilities
  • Develop new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, referrals, and cold calling.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with importers, exporters, and other logistics customers.
  • Prepare and present competitive freight forwarding solutions and pricing proposals.
  • Negotiate rates and service agreements with customers.
  • Achieve and exceed monthly and annual sales goals.
  • Maintain an active sales pipeline and accurately document customer activity in the CRM system.
  • Collaborate with operations and customer service teams to ensure smooth execution of shipments.
  • Stay informed of market conditions, competitor activity, and industry trends.
  • Represent the company professionally at customer meetings, networking events, and industry functions.
Qualifications
  • 3–5 years of successful freight forwarding sales experience required
  • Strong background in ocean freight forwarding is required.
  • Experience selling both import and export freight services is preferred.
  • Experience with air freight and domestic trucking/intermodal transportation is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop new business and grow existing accounts.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM software.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
