Job Information
The Global Logistics Coordinator position will provide essential support in the planning, execution, and compliance of inbound and outbound shipments for the Company while meeting safety, regulatory, cost and schedule requirements. A most successful Global Logistics Coordinator will have extensive logistics industry knowledge, compliances, Import/export acumen, strong communication skills, and is a critical thinker and problem-solver. They thrive in fast-paced environments while delivering quality work on tight deadlines.
Role & Responsibility
  • Plan, schedule and track inbound and outbound shipments
  • Prepare and audit customs and shipping documents
  • Manage freight forwarders, customs brokers, trucking companies, and others to meet performance and cost objectives
  • Collaborate & communicate cross-functionally on expectations and status
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the logistics process
  • Ensure shipping activities in full compliance with applicable laws and regulations as well as internal policies
  • Identify opportunities to improve service, cost and compliance

Job Requirement - Education & Experience
  • BA/BS degree with 3+ years of experience working with freight forwarders and managing import/export shipments
  • Experience and knowledge of shipping HAZMAT oversized cargo desired
  • Strong understanding of supply chain and logistics processes
  • Relationship management of key service providers
  • Negotiation with service providers
