Position: Growth Analyst

Department: Cross-Functional (Development, Commercial/Sales, Operations)

Location: San Francisco, CA / Remote

Job Summary:

The Growth Analyst is a cross-functional role that provides analytical support across Development, Commercial/Sales, and Operations teams. Broadly, the analyst will lead depot site suitability and network analysis to guide expansion planning. They'll also own energy and utility rate analysis to help optimize costs across markets. On the commercial side, the role provides sales and market analytics to support customer acquisition and investor communications. The analyst will additionally build out in-house operations analytics and reporting. Ideal candidates have a quantitative or business-related degree, strong analytical skills, and the ability to manage priorities across multiple teams in a fast-paced environment.

Principal Responsibilities & Key Results:

Depot Suitability & Network Analysis

  • Support the Development and Commercial teams in evaluating and scoring the suitability of prospective sites for addition to Forum's portfolio, combining market knowledge with quantitative analysis.
  • Leverage GIS tools and AI coding and publicly available and privately subscribed datasets to design and optimize depot networks across Heavy-Duty (HD), Medium-Duty (MD), Light-Duty (LD), and Autonomous Vehicle (AV) segments nationwide.
  • Analyze data from BCOs and shippers to identify high-density routes and support identification of depot locations.
  • Develop data-driven location strategies to guide the Development team and support expansion planning and infrastructure deployment.
  • Maintain and continue to build a strong working understanding of real estate/infrastructure development markets relevant to site selection.

Energy Rate Analysis & Market Optimization

  • Identify and track energy/utility rates across different markets, and help evaluate and optimize rate structures on Forum's behalf.
  • Own the end-to-end process of tariff analysis across states and market segments, consolidating inputs from Finance, Product, and Policy teams.
  • Build and maintain a centralized tariff/energy-rate database, with quarterly updates and standardized methodologies for new market evaluations.
  • Engage directly with utilities, regulators, and other market participantsโ€”going out to market, having conversations, and establishing relationships as needed to inform and support rate optimization efforts.

Sales & Commercial Analytics

  • Support the sales team with data analytics to identify prospective customers and map trucking routes relevant to Forum's HD, MD, and LD segments.
  • Run simulations as needed to evaluate route, customer, and network scenarios.
  • Build and manage top-of-funnel sales pipelines using external data sources and market intelligence, and support outreach efforts.
  • Partner with the Sales team to develop and maintain dashboards tracking key metrics such as Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC), Lifetime Value (LTV), and conversion rates.
  • Conduct market research across AV, LD, MD, and HD segments to generate actionable insights for financial modeling and investor communications, including metrics such as Total Addressable Market (TAM), fleet size, utilization patterns, and daily mileage.

Operations Analytics & Reporting

  • Bring operations analytics in-house by developing and managing dashboards, reporting systems, and performance tracking tools.
  • Deliver insights on operational efficiency, utilization, and key performance indicators to support decision-making.


Qualifications:

  • Recent graduate, or 1-2 years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor's degree in quantitative, business, real estate, or related field.
  • Strong understanding of infrastructure development markets, with working familiarity with GIS tools.
  • Comfort engaging directly with external market participants to gather information and build relationships.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with experience running data-driven simulations and models.
  • Proficiency in Excel and data visualization tools; familiarity with Salesforce is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills, with the ability to synthesize complex data into clear recommendations.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable managing multiple priorities across Development, Commercial, and Operations stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.


Compensation:

  • Base salary range: $80,000โ€“$100,000, commensurate with experience.
