JOB PURPOSE
The Analyst II, Transportation is responsible for the administration of weekly freight payment processing for the Logistics department related to freight costs for Inbound & Outbound shipments through freight payment vendor and Access database functions in the department.
Provide research and investigation of all payment variances in WebRes data provided by the MPA Freight Payment Vendor VTM. Pending lines of WebRes should not exceed 300.
Audit and report the expense of international and domestic accessorial costs through weekly and monthly reporting as required.
Process monthly Inbound Landed Cost Report Process monthly LDC rate.
SME on department freight payment issues and department AD Hoc freight payment reporting.
Backup Department Freight Transportation analyst on FTL truck requests for MPA PDCs.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Run weekly Freight Payment files in customized process for MPA Transportation department.
  • Create weekly check requests for Inbound and Outbound freight bills for Finance
  • Advise freight payment vendor of any discrepancies in the weekly files for fixes.
  • Run monthly freight payment reports for MPA distribution.
  • Update monthly LDC rate in Amos for MPA Finance
  • Pull and analyze freight payment data as required through Access database or SQL queries
  • Assigning GL accounts to specific transactions in freight payment process
  • Backup Transportation Analyst with FTL truckload scheduling when needed
  • Work to improve internal data processes as needed.
  • Provide ad hoc reports and cost studies as required by management.
  • Other duties as assigned.

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS
  • Download and analyze weekly VTM freight payment data in order to create weekly check requests for all Inbound and Outbound department freight bills. 30%
  • Investigate freight issues with all Inbound and Outbound carriers. Research past due situations for all MPA freight carriers. Research and process variances on WebRes. Run SQL and Access queries. 30%
  • Administer the monthly landed cost reports and daily MAL Inbound freight carrier reporting. Provide ad hoc reporting and financial issues for requests from the department coordinator and Mobis HQ in Seoul Korea. 20%
  • Provide reports for International and Domestic accessorial fees weekly, monthly or as needed. Run SQL queries. 10%
  • Complete MPA Academy training requirements. 12 hours required yearly. 10%

WORK SCHEDULE/TRAVEL
  • 8:30 am - 5:30 pm
  • No travel is required for this role.

Required Qualifications
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Overall Related Experience:
  • Minimum of five years' experience in related logistics activities such as freight rates, freight bill auditing and other sea/air/land carrier related activities.
  • Minimum of five years analysis experience preferably within the automotive industry in the area of traffic/logistics/parts warehouse/accounting.
  • 4-5 years Operations - Logistics General: Required

SKILLS
Use of intermediate software packages (word processing, spreadsheets) Solve practical problems/deal with a variety of concrete variables with limited standardization. Use of intermediate computer operations (programming in relational databases)
Employment Type - Non-Exempt, Hourly Wage
Compensation - Final offer will be commensurate with experience and education.
Analyst II: $26.00 - 38.00 per hour
Analyst III: $30.05 - 44.33 per hour
