The National Account Manager supports the execution of retail account plans across U.S. retail channels for the Greystar portfolio. This role partners closely with leadership, brokers, and cross functional teams to help drive retail performance, ensure brand standards, and support growth initiatives. The position focuses on day to day account management, execution, and analysis rather than full ownership of national strategy or financial results.

Primary Responsibilities:

The duties for this position include but are not limited to the following:

National Retail Account Leadership

  • Support national and regional retail customer relationships (e.g., grocery, mass, club where applicable) for Panda Express and Tapatรญo on shelf businesses.
  • Assist with line reviews, item authorizations, shelf placement initiatives, and distribution expansion efforts.ย 
  • Help develop customer specific plans aligned with brand and category priorities under the guidance of senior leadership.

Broker & Field Leadership

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for broker teams supporting Greystar brands.
  • Set clear expectations, priorities, and KPIs for broker execution (distribution, merchandising, promotions, shelf compliance).
  • Conduct regular broker scorecards, performance reviews, and action planning.

Trade Spend & Performance Management

  • Deliver against volume, revenue, and profit targets.
  • Evaluate ROI on promotions, industrial contracts and customer investments.
  • Partner with finance to ensure pricing integrity, margin optimization, and forecast accuracy.
  • Represent the Panda Express and Tapatรญo brands with a strong understanding of brand standards, consumer expectations, and licensing requirements.
  • Ensure packaging, merchandising, and shelf presentation align with brand guidelines.
  • Identify innovation, pack size, and channel expansion opportunities.

Cross Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with marketing, supply chain, operations, and quality to support launches, resets, and ongoing execution.
  • Coordinate timelines, forecasts, and inventory flow to support customer needs.
  • Provide sales insights to inform innovation, packaging, and promotional strategy.

Data & Performance Insights

  • Analyze syndicated data (e.g., IRI, Nielsen, Circana), customer POS, and broker reporting.
  • Track distribution, velocity, pricing, and promotional effectiveness.
  • Translate insights into actionable selling stories and recommendations.

Qualifications:

To be eligible for this position, candidates should meet the following requirements:

  • Bachelorโ€™s Degree, or equivalent of 5 to 8+ years of CPG sales experience, preferably managing national or large regional accounts.
  • Demonstrated agility in utilizing technology for data management, including proficiency with Microsoft platforms such as Excel, Power BI, PowerPoint, and Salesforce CRM.
  • Proven success managing brokers and indirect sales teams.
  • Strong understanding of retail grocery dynamics, shelf execution, and promotional planning.
  • Financial acumen with experience managing trade spending, forecasts, and profitability.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship building skills.
  • Experience with licensed brands or brand driven partnerships preferred.
  • Direct experience with national retailers such as Kroger, Walmart, Target, Albertsons, or regional grocery chains preferred.ย
