What is a freight associate?

Freight Associates are retail employees responsible for receiving, unloading, and stocking merchandise in stores or warehouses. They ensure that products are organized, shelves are replenished, and inventory is accurately recorded. Freight Associates may also assist with pricing, labeling, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. Their work is essential for keeping stores well-stocked and providing customers with access to the products they need.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a freight associate, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Freight Associate, you need strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to perform physical tasks, with a high school diploma often preferred. Familiarity with inventory management systems, handheld scanners, and warehouse equipment like pallet jacks is typically required. These abilities ensure efficient handling of goods, accurate inventory tracking, and smooth warehouse operations.
