Job description

A Cake Decorator is generally responsible for preparing, decorating, and finishing ice cream cakes and specialty desserts according to brand standards while providing guests with excellent service and maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment.


Responsibilities Include:

  • Decorate ice cream cakes and specialty desserts according to brand standards and guest requests
  • Write personalized messages and create custom cake designs neatly and accurately
  • Prepare cakes for display, pickup, and delivery orders
  • Maintain proper quality, appearance, and freshness of all cakes and desserts
  • Follow food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards at all times
  • Stock decorating supplies, toppings, packaging materials, and ingredients
  • Operate kitchen and decorating equipment safely and efficiently
  • Assist guests with cake orders, questions, and recommendations
  • Organize freezer, cooler, and decorating station areas
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation, equipment, and guest areas
  • Communicate effectively with managers and coworkers regarding orders and inventory needs
  • Meet production timelines while maintaining attention to detail and product quality
  • Assist with additional restaurant or bakery duties as needed
