Sonbyrne Sales, Inc. / Byrne Dairy & Deli a local growing, family-owned company is actively seeking a Warehouse Order Selector. We offer full and part time positions, competitive salary and great benefits. Purpose of Position
The Warehouse Order Selector is responsible for filling customer orders; build pallets of product for shipment and wraps pallets and delivering pallets to the appropriate staging area for truck loading. The Order Selector is responsible for the completeness and accurate selection of each order. The Order Selector may also be required to perform other duties in addition to his/her own.
Job Responsibilities
The list below contains tasks that are typically associated with the job. It is not all-inclusive and may vary.
  • Works independently setting priorities and work schedule 100% of the time.
  • Select product for store orders, error-free.
  • Selects orders including cooler and freezer orders.
  • Safely and efficiently utilize the warehouse material handling equipment.
  • Ability to build stable, well-built accurate pallet loads for shipment, understanding the pallet layers, heights, and counting methods used when working with pallets of product.
  • Read and understand product descriptions, and packaging.
  • Consistently meet established company production and service level standards
  • General clean-up of warehouse aisles after completion of orders
  • Maintains accurate records.
  • Assumes responsibility for the workplace safety of self and co-workers, and for safety conditions of the work location.
  • Other tasks as assigned.

Job Requirements
  • High school diploma or general equivalency degree required.
  • Meet minimum requirements on pre-employment testing, including physical ability tests and drug screen.
  • Ability to consistently meet minimum production standards and company service levels.
  • Ability to read, speak and comprehend the English language.
  • Must wear steel toe or composite booths while working.
  • Day, Night, Weekend shift work
  • Occasional overtime as necessary to meet production schedules.

Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance on a ladder and stoop, kneel, or crouch when stocking and cleaning shelves. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. The employee must be able to work in varying temperatures. Working in coolers and freezers.
