Position Title: Forklift Operator
Reports to: Shift Supervisor

Key Responsibilities:
The Freezer Hilo Operator is responsible for the safe, accurate, and efficient storage and shipping of customer product. In this role, you will use attention to detail to operate material handling equipment and scanning software in a fast-paced and high-volume environment.
  • Performs all work task safely, accurately, and efficiently
  • Ability to meet standard pallet move performance rate
  • Inspects equipment prior to use
  • Moves product to and from storage locations
  • Loads outbound orders while verifying accuracy
  • Inspects trailers prior to loading, ensures trailers are safe and food grade
  • Responsible for securing loaded trailer while waiting for pickup
  • Utilizes scanning software to systematically move product in real-time
  • Performs warehouse cleaning duties including but not limited to dusting, sweeping, floor scrubbing, etc.
  • Occasionally charges or changes Hilo battery, participates in inventory counting and wraps or stacks product
  • Perform other duties as assigned, may be required to perform duties outside of their normal responsibilities from time to time, as needed.
Required and Preferred Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • Previous warehouse or forklift experience
  • Ability to work in -10F environment
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • May work overtime, evenings, or weekends to complete work or to attend meetings, as directed and authorized by management
  • Previous stand-up Hilo experience highly preferred
  • Previous experience working in a cold storage environment preferred
