Job Summary
The Warehouse Order Picker will be responsible for modeling and promoting Sendik's culture by consistently providing "best in class" service to our guests. The main responsibility of the Warehouse Order Picker is to efficiently and accurately select items in the Warehouse to be delivered to our stores. In addition, the Warehouse Order Picker will also be responsible for confirming daily deliveries and stocking items in their correct area.
This is a 2nd shift position, hours are between 1pm and 9pm with days off on Tuesdays and Saturdays.

Work Experience
Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Serve customers throughout the store locations while modeling Sendik's culture and providing "best in class" customer service, which includes, greeting, engaging, delighting and thanking every guest for their business
  • Daily review of orders from each store in order to accurately select items for delivery
  • Pick and pallatize product; ensuring pallet is wrapped, labeled and free from cross contamination
  • Daily operation of forklift and pallet jack
  • Ensure that all inbound and outbound freight is inspected for damages and refrigerated merchandise is at the correct temperature before receiving or shipping
  • Assist with the training and mentoring of new associates in the Warehouse
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety/sanitation regulations and procedures
  • Assist with all other duties as needed
Qualifications:
  • Must be a minimum of 18 years of age due to required operation of Warehouse equipment
  • Current certification in order to operate forklift, pallet jack, and rider. (Company will compensate if needed)
  • Prior warehouse experience is preferred
  • Ability to work in different temperature zones, including cold environments (i.e., coolers, freezers)
  • Strong sense of team - ability to anticipate the needs of the team
  • Strong knowledge of local and state health, sanitation and safety regulations
  • Ability to work at a fast paced and efficient manner
  • Ability to quickly adapt to changing conditions, priorities and circumstances
  • Ability to maintain composure, meet deadlines and work effectively under pressure
  • Ability to take initiative and make decisions independently regarding department needs and priorities, under general supervision
  • Excellent time management, prioritization and organization skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to stand, walk, lift, bend, push/pull for extended periods of time
