TAIT is looking for experienced Freelance Producers (U.S.-based) to support a major project taking place on-site in Washington, DC from mid-May through mid-June 2026. Travel and accommodations will be provided.
This is a temporary contract role, not a full-time staff position.
Position Purpose:
As a Freelance Producer, you'll be a key operational leader driving the planning, coordination, and execution of the project. You'll manage logistics, schedules, vendors, budgets, and client communications from kickoff through wrap. This role requires flexibility, cross-department collaboration, and a proactive approach to problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Project Leadership & Execution
  • Lead cross-departmental project advance and on-site execution.
  • Develop strategy, operations plans, schedules, crew calls, and client deliverables.
  • Communicate project status and ensure alignment across teams.
  • Support Account Management, Operations, Patron Journey, Creative, Commercials, and other departments as needed.

Project Advance Work
  • Contribute to RFP development, procurement, staffing, project communications, timelines, and supplier advancing.
  • Support drawing development and internal documentation.

Special Projects
  • Assist with pitch decks, strategy meetings, and summit/conference prep.
  • Take point on new client requests when needed.

Admin & Operational Planning
  • Prepare and manage client-facing documentation, presentations, and operational plans.

Team Management
  • Oversee and support onboarding of additional team members on the project.
  • Provide leadership, direction, and clear communication across departments.

Budgeting
  • Co-own assigned budgets with the Budget Producer.
  • Create estimates, track changes, manage vendor quotes, and close out budgets.

Position Requirements:
  • 8+ years of event management, production, or related experience; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong project management and budget management abilities.
  • Highly organized with a detail-driven, proactive approach.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Airtable, and similar tools.
  • Positive, solutions-oriented attitude with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and irregular hours based on event needs.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.
  • Professionalism, discretion, and tact when handling sensitive information.
