Job description

Overview

Content Marketing Coordinator

Sight & Sound Systems, Inc. | Sterling, VA
Part-Time | Hybrid + Local Project Visits
$20–$22/hour, based on experience | 15–20 hours/week

Bring Luxury Technology Projects to Life Through Content

Sight & Sound Systems is looking for a creative, organized, and dependable Content Marketing Coordinator to help showcase our work through compelling photo, video, and marketing content.

Established in 1994, Sight & Sound Systems designs and installs integrated technology for luxury homes and commercial environments throughout the Washington, DC metropolitan area—from home theaters and whole-home audio to lighting, motorized shades, networking, security, and smart-home automation.

This is a hands-on, field-based marketing role for someone who enjoys being on-site, spotting great content opportunities, and turning technical projects into stories that connect with everyday audiences.

What You'll Do

  • Visit residential and commercial project sites to capture high-quality photo and video content.
  • Develop shot lists, content ideas, and story angles before project visits.
  • Capture both vertical and horizontal content for social media, websites, digital campaigns, and company communications.
  • Organize, label, and upload content with clear notes for editors and marketing partners.
  • Collaborate with designers and outside marketing partners on creative briefs and campaign ideas.
  • Help maintain content calendars, deadlines, project follow-up, and basic performance tracking.
  • Support direct-mail and client-outreach campaigns, including mailing lists and deployment tracking.
  • Represent Sight & Sound Systems professionally while working in client homes, businesses, and active project environments.
  • Follow all site instructions and safety requirements.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience creating photo, video, social media, or marketing content through work, freelance projects, personal channels, volunteer experience, or coursework.
  • A strong visual eye and the ability to recognize what makes a project engaging.
  • Comfort working in active field and construction-related environments.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and follow-through.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with internal and external creative partners.
  • Reliable transportation and availability for scheduled weekday daytime project visits.
  • Professional judgment when working around clients, private residences, and confidential information.

Nice to Have:

  • Familiarity with professional camera equipment, especially Sony cameras.
  • Video-editing experience.

What Success Looks Like

You'll be successful when you consistently:

  • Capture useful, well-framed, and organized content.
  • Turn technical installations into interesting stories for non-technical audiences.
  • Stay organized and meet deadlines without constant reminders.
  • Bring ideas, ask thoughtful questions, and confidently move approved projects forward.
  • Build positive relationships with clients, technicians, designers, and marketing partners.

Why This Role Stands Out

No degree required. We care more about the quality of your work, your judgment, creativity, and ability to reliably turn ideas into content people want to see.

This is an excellent opportunity for a content creator, marketing coordinator, social media specialist, photographer, videographer, or creative professional looking for flexible part-time work with a unique, high-end project environment.
