What is a freelance task?

A Freelance Task job is a short-term or one-time assignment completed by an independent worker rather than a full-time employee. Freelancers are typically hired on a per-task or per-project basis and have the flexibility to choose assignments that match their skills. These tasks can range from writing and graphic design to data entry and programming. Payment and deadlines vary depending on the job and the client.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in the freelance task position?

Familiarity with online project management tools, communication platforms, and freelance marketplaces is typically necessary. Exceptional communication, time management, and client relationship skills help freelancers deliver quality results and maintain repeat business. These competencies are critical because freelancers must independently manage multiple projects, meet client expectations, and succeed in a competitive, dynamic environment.

General Description of the position

As the Marketing Coordinator/Content Creator, you will play a crucial role in coordinating our collection of marketing service agencies, freelancers, and other marketing resources in order to create and execute engaging marketing campaigns that drive brand awareness, generate sales, and foster customer loyalty. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of analytical and creative tasks, including e-commerce inbound and outbound marketing, social media marketing, email marketing, content creation, etc.

Reporting to the CEO, you will have a high degree of autonomy and an expectation to develop strategy and execute that strategy. This is an ideal role for someone who 1. is both creative AND analytical, 2. thrives in a high autonomy environment, and 3. has the deep desire and motivation to constantly learn more.

At first you will be a one-person department supported by our various specialized marketing agencies, remote freelance providers, and subject-matter-experts. You will learn a lot from these outside experts. As our company grows and your skills and experience develop, you could eventually be leading a team of in-house marketing professionals working as a department supporting several brands.

Required Traits

Leadership Skills: As a potential future manager, the ability to lead and inspire a team is essential. This includes setting clear goals, providing guidance, and fostering a collaborative and innovative environment. Right away you will have an opportunity to develop those skills managing the interaction with our marketing agency and various ad hoc contractors. This role requires an individual who can efficiently manage people and multiple projects.

Strategic Thinking: Developing and executing a comprehensive marketing strategy requires strategic thinking. This involves analyzing market trends, identifying opportunities, and aligning marketing efforts with business objectives.

Note that much of your efforts will be in creating content in the form of online ads, blog content, listing content, and a big focus on video content.

Communication Skills: Assertive and clear communication skills are essential for effectively conveying messages to internal teams, external stakeholders, and the public. This includes written, verbal, and presentation skills. You will be in front of the camera as well as behind it, especially in the beginning.

Adaptability: The marketplace is dynamic, and strategies may need to be quickly adjusted based on changing market conditions. Being adaptable and open to change is important in this role.

Ability to Learn: No matter how educated or experienced you may be, you will need to be in a constant state of learning new skills and information in this position. If you understand marketing in today's environment, you'll know why.

Passion: We are looking for the type of person who understands that if something is worth doing, it's worth doing well, ...with everything you've got. We are building a brand worth believing in, one that provides society with a lot of value. That is something worth being passionate about!
