Description The Director of Finance and Accounting is a full-time, on-site role based in Fort Collins, CO, responsible for overseeing all financial operations and accounting activities for Dive Rescue International. This role manages budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. The director oversees accounting functions such as general ledger management, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and compliance with applicable regulations and standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include financial analysis to support strategic decisions, monitoring cash flow, managing banking relationships, and optimizing resource allocation to support training programs and equipment operations. The role collaborates with senior leadership to develop financial strategies, implement internal controls, and provide clear, data-driven insights that support long-term organizational sustainability and growth.

Qualifications

  • Strong finance and financial planning skills, including experience with budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial management.
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare, review, and oversee financial statements and financial reporting in accordance with relevant standards.
  • Advanced analytical skills for interpreting financial data, conducting variance analyses, and supporting data-driven decision-making.
