The engineer will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to develop process layouts, improve injection molding techniques, and apply statistical process control methods to maintain product consistency and reduce variability. By leveraging technical expertise and innovative problem-solving skills, the Manufacturing Engineer will drive continuous improvement initiatives that increase productivity while minimizing costs and waste. Ultimately, this role ensures that manufacturing operations meet stringent quality standards and production schedules, contributing to the company’s overall success in the competitive manufacturing sector in the United States.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5-10 years of proven experience with CNC programming and operation of CNC machines in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes including machining, injection molding, and process layout design.
  • Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC) methods and quality control standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with new product introduction (NPI) processes in a manufacturing setting.
  • Certification in Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or related continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Proficiency with CAD/CAM software and manufacturing simulation tools.
  • Experience working in a high-volume manufacturing environment within the United States.
  • Strong project management skills and experience leading cross-functional teams.
  • Strong understanding of controls such as Allen Bradley

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, program, and optimize CNC machining processes to improve production efficiency and product quality.
  • Design and implement manufacturing process improvements, including plan layouts and workflow enhancements.
  • Support new product introduction by collaborating with design and production teams to establish manufacturable processes.
  • Apply statistical process control techniques to monitor and control manufacturing processes, ensuring consistent quality.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing issues related to machining, injection molding, and CNC machine operations.
  • Conduct time studies and cost analyses to identify opportunities for process cost reduction and cycle time improvement.
  • Document manufacturing processes, create work instructions, and train production staff on new procedures and equipment.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to ensure materials and components meet manufacturing requirements.

Skills:
