Accent on Languages (AOL) is looking for Spanishand English speaking, Analytical Linguists to work on-site under a federal Government contract, in Denver, CO.

Job Description:

As an analytical linguist, your primary job would be to listen to live audio, transcribe and translate it. This will take place on site at one of the Federal offices. This is a project-based employment opportunity, meaning we cannot guarantee constant work year-round. The workload will depend on the cases assigned to certain regions. This work would mostly benefit someone who is a freelancer, retired, and/or looking for supplemental income.

We can offer Part Time or Full Time work based on the cases assigned to certain regions. Employee benefits apply such as PTO, Sick Pay, Health and Welfare, Medical Insurance & 401k. Hourly rate varies and is determined regionally by federal contracting at around $30-40/hr.

This position will require a security clearance for which Accent on Languages will sponsor you if eligible. Please take note that the security clearance will take about a few months to 1 year to obtain starting from when your packet is submitted. We may be able to offer over other freelance jobs, such as on-site interpreting, remote or over-the phone interpreting, and/or translation jobs periodically while you wait for the clearance, if you qualify.

There are two shifts available 8am-4pm and 4pm-12am, and training will be provided once cleared. Part time employment would be working 3 consecutive days (either shift).


Qualifications:
1) Being perfectly bilingual (oral and written skills). Tests in both English and Spanish (reading, writing, speaking, and listening comprehension) will be administered and you must pass all language tests in order to proceed.
2) Experience with translation transcription and/or interpreting strongly preferred.
3) Ability to work well under pressure to meet specific deadlines.
4) Basic typing/word processing skills of at least 40 words per minute.
5) Good credit (Credit report will need to be obtained).
6) US Citizen (REQUIRED).
7) No drug history or criminal record.
8) At least two years of college (or experience in the industry).
