We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated professional to join our team as a Senior Software Engineer. This position is with a small, established team based in the DFW area, offering a collaborative and relaxed work environment that fosters innovation. If you are passionate about software engineering and looking for an opportunity to work on industry-leading sensor simulation products, we'd love to hear from you. Must be eligible to obtain a US Security Clearance.
The primary workplace for this position is Aechelon Technology's Farmer's Branch, TX location.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining application-level software that simulates airborne radar systems and other sensors for use in a variety of training devices. The software is written in the C++ programming language on Windows and Linux platforms.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION:
  • 5+ years of experience in software development using C/C++
  • Strong understanding of real-time application programming
  • Expertise in cross-platform development (Windows & Linux)
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong foundation and mathematics and physics
  • Ability to work with export-controlled technology

DESIRED COMPETENCIES
  • Technical Expertise:
    • Knowledge of radar technology and signal processing
    • Experience with OpenGL and graphics application programming
    • Background in real-time, multi-processing systems
    • Familiarity with tools for geographic data processing (e.g. KML, vector files, digital elevation models, satellite imagery)
