Job Description

We have an opportunity for a Digital Content Specialist to join AbbVie Canada's Internal Agency, Customer Excellence. In this role, you will design, develop, and deploy digitally engaging content assets — with particular focus on interactive digital tools (including Veeva Approved Emails, Mass Emails, Closed Loop Marketing/CLM development), web content integration, and multimedia production  that support brand teams across AbbVie Canada's therapeutic portfolio. Working within a growing internal agency, you will bring both technical execution and creative responsiveness to a team to drive agility, quality, and continuous improvement. You will collaborate closely with a cross-functional team, manage vendor and freelancer relationships, and help shape the Internal Agency’s expanding digital content capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, test and deploy digital content, including interactive visual aids and sales tools, using CLM-capable platforms as well as rep-triggered emails (ie Veeva-Approved-Emails)
  • Support the creation and integration of web and digital content beyond email including content for digital platforms, AbbVie Pro, flipbooks, and emerging digital channels as the Internal Agency’s capabilities expand.
  • Produce and edit light-format video content (e.g., short-form explainer videos, animated digital assets, internal communication clips) using accessible video editing tools.
  • Support the tracking and reporting on basic content performance metrics (email engagement, asset utilization, deployment rates) to support continuous improvement and stakeholder reporting.
  • Contribute to the exploration and adoption of AI-assisted content and creative tools in accordance with AbbVie's guidelines.
  • Build expertise across the Internal Agency's core content production tools and contribute to the team's knowledge of emerging platforms and workflows as proficiency develops.
  • Apply basic UX design principles to support the usability and visual quality of digital content assets, including emails, CLM aids, and web content.
  • Proof, edit and proactively review content to ensure accuracy and consistency with copy, images and product presentation while meeting established deadlines.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to efficiently manage and organize assets.
  • Communicate with internal and external stakeholders about progress of projects and any issues that may arise.
  • Support the evaluation of work delivered by freelancers for quality and alignment with project deliverables.
Qualifications

Education/Experience Required:

  • Post-secondary education (college diploma or bachelor's degree) in Graphic Design, Interactive Media, Digital Marketing, Communications, UX Design, or a related field or equivalent demonstrated experience.
  • Two (2) experience in digital content production, with demonstrated exposure to or hands-on experience in at least one of: CLM/interactive digital sales aids, web content management, or video/multimedia production.
  • Pharma experience preferred (not required)
  • UX design formal training or certification considered an asset

Essential skills & abilities:

  • French and English bilingual proficiency (oral and written)
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) or equivalent design tools
  • Experience with digital content production for email campaigns, web, or interactive media
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple concurrent projects, and communicate proactively with stakeholders
  • Familiarity with or willingness to develop expertise in CLM platforms (Veeva CRM/iRep, eWizard CLM, or equivalent interactive sales aid tools), web CMS platforms (Adobe Experience Manager) and video editing experience (Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Canva video, or equivalent lightweight tools), considered a strong asset
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted content tools (generative design, copy assistance, etc.) and asset
