Infection Control/Nurse Educator RN

Responsibilities Now hiring an Infection Control/Nurse Educator RN, full time position! Key responsibilities include conducting ongoing surveillance of infections in patients and employees, inspecting areas for potential infection hazards, educating staff and patients on infection control policies, and training nursing staff on the nursing process and compliance with facility policies. Location: Beautiful Leesburg, Virginia, 40 miles Northwest of Washington DC.

Qualifications Leadership experience is required. Graduate of accredited school of nursing with minimum of Bachelor degree. Master degree in nursing preferred. Licensed by a state participating in the Nurse Licensure Compact as a Registered Nurse, CPR certification, or able to complete certification. Excellent verbal, written skills, interpersonal interaction, and educating skills. Excellent skills in organization, research, and mentoring. Flexibility to teach when nurses are available to learn may be evenings/weekends. Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient and employee information.
