Position Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join a high-impact Vaccination Initiative as an Immunization Nurse Float. In this patient-facing role, you will administer a wide range of immunizationsโ€”including Influenza, COVID-19, MMR, and other CDC-recommended vaccinesโ€”while delivering exceptional patient care in a retail healthcare setting.

The ideal candidate is clinically skilled, adaptable, customer-focused, and committed to improving community health through preventive care.
 

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer vaccines including Influenza, COVID-19, MMR, Hepatitis, Shingles, Pneumonia, Tdap, RSV, HPV, and other routine immunizations in accordance with CDC guidelines and standing orders.
  • Perform patient assessments, review medical history, and screen for vaccine eligibility and contraindications.
  • Monitor patients for adverse reactions following immunization and respond appropriately to emergencies.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of vaccinations in electronic health records and immunization registries.
  • Educate patients regarding vaccine benefits, potential side effects, and follow-up care.
  • Ensure compliance with infection prevention protocols, vaccine storage, handling, and cold chain management.
  • Administer medications and provide other nursing interventions as required.
  • Collaborate with pharmacists, healthcare providers, and clinical staff to deliver efficient patient care.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
  • Support daily clinic operations while maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
  • Adapt to changing patient volumes, clinic workflows, and scheduling needs.
Required Qualifications
  • Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana.
  • Minimum 1 year of nursing experience, including immunization or vaccination experience.
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
  • Strong medication administration and clinical assessment skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced retail healthcare environment.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends, based on business needs.
  • Must not appear on the DEA Excluded Parties List.
  • High School Diploma or GED (verification required).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous retail clinic, public health, occupational health, urgent care, or community health experience.
