Job description

Sigma Defense is seeking an Electronic Warfare (EW) Systems Engineer to responsible for the end-to-end engineering, integration, and technical execution of advanced Electronic Warfare systems supporting U.S. Department of Defense customers. The position requires expertise in RF systems, systems engineering, signal processing, hardware integration, and system verification. The engineer will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop, prototype, test, and field next-generation EW capabilities for operational environments.

Essential Job Duties (not all-inclusive):

  • Lead the systems engineering lifecycle from concept development through production and fielding.
  • Develop and maintain system requirements, interface control documents (ICDs), and verification plans.
  • Perform requirements decomposition, allocation, and traceability.
  • Develop system architectures, block diagrams, and technical baselines.
  • Design and integrate RF, communications, electronic attack, electronic support, and electronic protection systems.
  • Integrate SDRs, RF amplifiers, antennas, filters, switches, power systems, and embedded computing platforms.
  • Support schematic development, PCB integration, and hardware packaging.
  • Develop CONOPS and operational employment concepts.
  • Participate in System Requirements Reviews (SRR), Preliminary Design Reviews (PDR), Critical Design Reviews (CDR), Test Readiness Reviews (TRR), and Production Readiness Reviews (PRR).
  • Develop and execute verification and validation plans.
  • Conduct laboratory integration and troubleshooting.
  • Support environmental, EMI/EMC, thermal, and RF performance testing.
  • Analyze RF performance including: Gain, noise figure, harmonics, spurious emissions, linearity, VSWR, and intermodulation.
  • Develop production documentation including: Assembly instructions, wiring diagrams, manufacturing travelers, test procedures, and acceptance procedures.
  • Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, software, and manufacturing engineers.
  • Support customer demonstrations, technical interchange meetings, and field exercises.
  • Participate in factory acceptance testing (FAT), site acceptance testing (SAT), and customer training.
  • Identify technical risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Support proposal development and technical volume writing.

Salary Range: $120,000 - $130,000 annually.
