Job description

Job Description
Nokia of America Corporation, Senior Test Engineer (Multiple Positions), Dallas, TX.
Responsibilities
  • Perform DPD traffic testing (DDTT) for radios and systems for Nokia's wireless mobility networks and debug/reproduce failures found in official test group, with the goal of resolving and correcting those failures.
  • Verify customer fault correction in Nokia lab and analyze logs and troubleshooting problems.
  • Perform fault investigation/reporting which includes cooperation with other teams.
  • Provide support for lab maintenance which includes evaluating test tools and test equipment needed prior to each release, upgrading NEs, and building/expanding of workstations and dgNBs, eNBs as needed.
  • Integrate new automated cases and maintaining existing automated cases with new SW and Environment.
  • Install, commission, and integrate gNB, eNB in E2E lab environment.
  • Provide measurable input into new products, processes, standards or operational plans in support of business strategies.
  • Analyze, develop and implement concepts and solutions as a subject matter expert.
  • Telecommuting from a location within commuting distance of Dallas, TX may be permitted. #LI-DNI

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Systems, Engineering, Telecommunications, Information Systems or a related field, and 5 years of post-bachelor's progressive related work experience. Or a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Systems, Engineering, Telecommunications, Information Systems or a related field, and 3 years of related work experience.
Of the required experience, must have 3 years of experience with the following:
  • 5G or LTE Drive Test tools, including PCTEL, XCAL, XCAP, or ACTIX;
  • Drive test equipment and radio under test;
  • 5G/LTE RAN (radio access network) optimization;
  • Radio-Frequency (RF) technologies for KPI degradation analysis, feature analysis, and fault report creation and analysis; and
  • End-to-end system integration, verification of software, and automation enhancements.

Telecommuting from a location within commuting distance of Dallas, TX may be permitted.
