The Test Technician will be responsible for performing a wide variety of technical tasks in support of processes, engineering, quality control, calibration, laboratories, production/test environment, line maintenance and/or chemical handling.

What You Will Do

  • This position requires lifting, walking, and could involve stair/ladder climbing at the test range(s)

  • Test, troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and install a wide variety of electronic, electro-mechanical, and mechanical, computer, laboratory, and scientific systems and/or equipment.

  • Observe, analyze, and report test data; and when appropriate makes necessary repairs to equipment.

  • Work closely from approved procedures, schematics, and drawings.

  • Ability to validate the correctness of procedures. Select, set up and operate engineering and scientific equipment.

  • Utilize various engineering and scientific drawings, manuals, and other related documentation in the performance of their tasks. May include configuration/data administration. Checks for work correctness.

  • Train junior test technicians focusing on basic electronic principles and radio frequency theory of operations and troubleshooting methodology.

  • Communicate technical issues by generating comprehensive failure entries which correlate failure modes back to the associated test specification(s)

  • Interpret test data (plots, graphs, tabulated parameters) to choose pass/fail condition and resolve when further analysis is needed.

  • Troubleshoot and accurately diagnose failures from system level to Line Replaceable Unit (LRU) down to Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) and to component.

  • This will be a 1st shift, onsite role in our Forest, MS facility.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires an AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training with minimum of 6 years relevant experience.

  • Experience with troubleshooting electronic circuits to component level and effectively identify failure trends.

  • Experience with Radio Frequency System and subsystem (Transmitter, Receiver, Antenna, Signal/Data Processor, Power Supply) evaluation.

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience with Radio Frequency or Electronic Warfare (EW) systems.

  • Previous work in a manufacturing/production test environment

  • Data entry experience with and industry ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) such as PRISM, Oracle E-Business, Microsoft Dynamics 365 or etc.

The salary range for this role is 47,700 USD - 90,900 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
