Opportunity

We are seeking a highly driven, knowledgeable, and experienced RF Systems Engineer to help Kintronic Labs grow and expand into emerging RF markets. This role is intended for a mid-career engineer who enjoys hands-on work, technical problem-solving, and customer interaction.

This is a long-term opportunity for someone who loves learning, takes ownership of projects, and wants to work directly with senior engineers who are recognized experts in low- and mid-frequency RF systems.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Correspond with customers regarding RF system projects
  • Design and price RF parts and systems and write project proposals
  • Remotely coordinate and manage project details to support customer installations
  • Work with draftsmen and mechanical designers to generate 2D drawings and 3D CAD models
  • Collaborate with the President and senior engineers to develop RF products for broadcast, industrial, and defense applications
  • Participate in RF hardware prototyping and proof testing
  • Test and document manufactured systems prior to shipment
  • Support inside sales by answering technical questions
  • Participate in selected domestic and international exhibitions
  • Travel domestically and internationally on occasion

Required Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizenship (required)
(Due to the nature of our customers and projects, we are unable to sponsor visas or hire non-U.S. citizens.)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or Physics
(from an ABET-accredited institution; physics degree must include a strong focus on electromagnetics)
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant, full-time engineering work experience
(This role is not intended for students, interns, or recent graduates.)
  • Demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently on complex technical projects
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5–10+ years of experience in RF systems, antennas, or related electromagnetic systems
  • Strong laboratory and hands-on hardware skills
  • Experience using RF test instruments (VNA, signal generator, oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, etc.)
  • Experience with circuit design and multiphysics modeling tools
(e.g., LTSpice, Ansys HFSS, COMSOL, CST, or similar)
  • Enjoys hands-on development, testing, and characterization of RF hardware
  • Experience writing code in Python or other technical scripting languages
  • Prior experience supporting customer-facing engineering projects

Important Applicant Notes

  • This position is not open to students, interns, or candidates who have not yet graduated.
  • This position requires U.S. citizenship. Applicants who do not meet this requirement will not be considered.
  • We do not offer visa sponsorship for this role.
