Location Remote in US About the job you are considering We are looking for an experienced Mainframe DevOps Engineer / SCM (DBB/Git/IDD) Subject Matter Expert to support large‐scale application migration and modernization initiatives on IBM Z.

This role focuses on converting legacy SCMs (Endevor and others) to DBB/Git/IDD, building mainframe CI/CD pipelines, and enabling clients through training and hands‐on guidance. Your Role Lead and execute SCM migration projects from CA Endevor /others to DBB /Git/IDD. Install, configure, troubleshoot, and optimize DBB/Git/IDD environments on z/OS.

Analyze, convert, and validate Endevor‐managed applications. Build and debug mainframe CI/CD pipelines using Groovy, YAML, Git, DBB. Work hands‐on with z/OS, JCL, COBOL, PL/I, VSAM/QSAM as needed during migrations.

Deliver training sessions and create technical documentation for clients. Collaborate with IBM and client teams to ensure successful transformation outcomes. Your Skills and Experience Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with 7 years mainframe systems programming or development experience.

4+ years in customer‐facing consulting roles. Experience with SCM modernization, mainframe DevOps, or lifecycle management. Strong analytical ability and the ability to work independently or globally distributed.

Strong z/OS, mainframe development or systems programming background. Proven installation, migration, and troubleshooting experience on IBM Z. Hands‐on scripting with Groovy and YAML.

Strong Git expertise (repos, branching, merges) and pipeline debugging skills. Excellent communication skills and customer‐facing experience. Ability to diagnose and resolve DBB/Git/IDD conversion issues.

The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is: $65,200 - $169,000/year Capgemini provides compensation range information in accordance with applicable national, state, provincial, and local pay transparency laws. The base compensation range listed for this position reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation Capgemini, in good faith, believes it may pay for the role at the time of this posting. This range may be subject to change as permitted by law.

The actual compensation offered to any candidate may fall outside of the posted range and will be determined based on multiple factors legally permitted in the applicable jurisdiction.
