Rosenberg Law Group, PLLC is a boutique New York law firm focused on real estate transactions and related matters. We represent buyers, sellers, and financial institutions in residential & commercial transactions throughout New York State.
Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Real Estate Paralegal with a strong background in New York real estate transactions.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing files from contract through closing and post-closing in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. The candidate must be capable of handling closing issues on the fly and working independently while coordinating with attorneys, lenders, brokers, title companies, and clients.
Key Responsibilities

  •  Manage files from contract through closing and post-closing
  •  Assist with drafting and reviewing contracts of sale and riders
  •  Review and clear title reports, surveys, and title exceptions
  •  Request and follow up on title revisions, updates, endorsements, and policy language requirements
  •  Prepare, review, and organize closing packages
  •  Review lender packages and ensure all documents are complete and accurate 
  • Balance Closing Disclosures (CDs) and handle revisions/adjustments as needed 
  •  Coordinate and process fundings, including preparing and arranging wires and checks 
  •  Schedule and coordinate closings with clients, lenders, brokers, and title companies
  •  Scan, distribute, and track closing packages and related documents 
  •  Send out and track Homeowner’s Insurance (HOI) checks
  •  Address and resolve post-closing issues
  •  Follow up on outstanding documents, title requirements, and closing checklists 
  •  Coordinate couriering of documents when necessary 
  •  Assist with resolving closing issues and last-minute changes in real time 
  •  Notarize affidavits and closing documents as needed 
  •  Maintain organized files and manage a high-volume transactional caseload
Qualifications

  •  Bachelor’s degree or Paralegal Certificate (preferred) 
  • 2–5+ years of NY real estate transactional experience (required)
  •  Strong knowledge of residential real estate closings (commercial experience a plus) 
  •  Experience working with buyers, sellers, and/or lenders
  •  Excellent organizational, multitasking, and communication skills 
  •  Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment 
  •  Detail-oriented and client-focused 
  •  Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal/real estate software systems
Preferred Experience (Plus Factors)

  •  Experience using Close-It Plus
  •  Familiarity with lender-side closings and CD balancing
  •  Experience handling high-volume transactional files
  •  Notary Public license preferred
