About the Company

Our mission is to help customers save time and money when purchasing commercial kitchen equipment and supplies by providing a customer-centric shopping experience and leveraging our industry buying power.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced GPO Business Development and Contracting Consultant to help RestaurantSupply.com secure supplier agreements with leading group purchasing organizations and cooperative purchasing networks. This role will focus on identifying the correct decision-makers, creating qualified introductions, navigating supplier approval processes, and supporting contract negotiations through onboarding.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and prioritize opportunities with Premier, Vizient, Avendra International, Entegra Procurement Services, HPS, E&I Cooperative Services, Sourcewell, BuyBoard, OMNIA Partners, and other relevant purchasing organizations.
  • Identify the appropriate sourcing leaders, category managers, contracting executives, and procurement decision-makers within each target organization.
  • Use existing industry relationships to secure qualified introductions and meetings with priority GPO contacts.
  • Advise RestaurantSupply.com on how each organization evaluates, approves, contracts with, and onboards new suppliers.
  • Develop a clear pursuit strategy for each target GPO, including positioning, product categories, pricing requirements, compliance needs, and decision timelines.
  • Support the preparation of supplier presentations, capability statements, RFIs, RFPs, proposals, and contract submissions.
  • Guide negotiations involving pricing, rebates, administrative fees, service levels, reporting requirements, contract terms, and renewal provisions.
  • Identify operational, technical, financial, or compliance gaps that could prevent RestaurantSupply.com from qualifying as an approved supplier.
  • Position RestaurantSupply.com's product selection, ecommerce capabilities, fulfillment network, customer service, and pricing as competitive advantages.
  • Track all GPO opportunities and provide regular updates on progress, decision-makers, meetings, obstacles, deadlines, and recommended next steps.
  • Support the transition from contract award to supplier onboarding, implementation, reporting, and member activation.
  • Transfer relevant knowledge, contacts, documents, and processes to the internal RestaurantSupply.com team to support long-term GPO channel development.

Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience in GPO business development, institutional sales, strategic sourcing, procurement, or supplier contracting.
  • Direct experience securing supplier agreements, preferred vendor status, or approved supplier status with major GPOs or cooperative purchasing organizations.
  • Established relationships with sourcing leaders, category managers, procurement executives, or contracting teams within Premier, Vizient, Avendra International, Entegra Procurement Services, HPS, E&I Cooperative Services, Sourcewell, BuyBoard, or OMNIA Partners.
  • Strong understanding of GPO supplier selection, RFI and RFP processes, contract negotiations, administrative fees, rebates, reporting requirements, and onboarding procedures.
  • Experience in commercial foodservice equipment and supplies, hospitality, healthcare, senior living, education, government, or institutional procurement.
  • Proven ability to assess which GPO opportunities offer the strongest revenue potential, strategic fit, and probability of success.
  • Strong presentation, communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.
  • A self-starter who can independently develop contacts, pursue opportunities, and move discussions toward measurable outcomes.
  • Ability to provide transparent reporting on contacts, meetings, opportunities, risks, and next steps.
