Job description

Who are we hiring?

The production assistant will support productions in two departments - network promotions and branded content. The production assistant will support the promos team by organizing media assets and developing scripts for network promotions across our platforms. Supporting productions, editing content and other promotional material will also be required. In the branded content department, the production assistant will be tasked with supporting producers in the creation of brand focused engaging initiatives, from ideation to final edits. The ideal candidate will also collaborate with other divisions across the organization to execute MSG Network brand initiatives to meet set goals, while maintaining and attracting new audiences.

What will you do?

Execute assigned projects in a manner that is appropriate and on brand for MSG Networks.

Work closely with department VP, Director and Producers to determine production schedule and needs for upcoming projects.

Write promo copy for live telecasts and produce corresponding video violators.

Assist Producers as needed with all aspects of their production, including shooting, editing, and delivering material.

Help drive key performance metrics to meet network objectives, drive growth on social platforms and content engagement.

Responsible for multiple aspects of video production, including and not limited to, shooting, sound production and editing.

Responsible for distributing live game-related content across network and team social accounts utilizing publishing tools and native platform applications.

Maintain an editorial calendar to be shared and communicated with all key stakeholders.

Maintain strong knowledge of network programming and sports.

Provide exceptional experiences for our guests, partners, and team members, including by adhering to our appearance and presentation guidelines while on-site.  

What do you need to succeed? 

Minimum of 1-2 years' experience in television production or postproduction.

Minimum of 1-2 years' experience working in digital content, editing, production and distribution.

Proficient in Adobe Premiere, Word, and Excel.

Passion for working collaboratively and within a team environment.

Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.

Must be able to work under pressure, manage multiple assignments at one time and meet deadlines.

Flexible and open to the changing demands of the business.

Highly organized and detail oriented.
