Job description

Job Overview
Dynasty Financial Partners is building a leading wealth technology platform. We are looking for a BI Engineer to own the delivery of Dynasty Analytics products. You will work hands-on with a state-of-the-art data lake platform and partner closely with our data engineers and Product team. A core part of the job is understanding the questions the business is trying to answer with data, then turning our platform data into deep, reliable analytics the platform can be built on.
What You Will Do
  • Own the analytics product from an engineering perspective and be accountable for its delivery.
  • Work hands-on with our data lake platform to model and shape data into clean, reliable, reusable datasets, and to power deep analytics.
  • Build Power BI data products (data model, DAX, and performant reports) that Product and the business rely on.
  • Partner closely with data engineers and the Product team to understand the questions they need answered and deliver the analytics behind them.
  • Turn one-off requests into repeatable, production-quality data products that improve accuracy, efficiency, and self-service.
  • Collaborate with the team to build the analytics platform of the future, assessing and bringing in new tools as the platform evolves.

Requirements
What You Bring
  • 3+ years of experience in a similar analytics, business intelligence, or analytics engineering role.
  • Expert-level Power BI skills. You can build a full data model, write clean DAX, and design reports that are fast, accurate, and genuinely useful, not just charts on a page.
  • Excellent communication skills, and the ability to understand what answers the Product team and the business are trying to get out of the data.
  • Hands-on knowledge of data lake technology and how to work with data at scale.
  • Strength in deep analytics, not just reporting.
  • A fast learner who picks up new tools and platforms quickly and enjoys doing so.
  • Ability to own and deliver several analytics workstreams at once, on time.
  • A self-starter and team player who uses data to think creatively about business problems.
  • Relevant BA/BS degree, or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • Familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, or Copilot.

Nice to Have
  • Experience with Databricks.
  • Knowledge of the wealth management or broader financial services industry.
  • Experience with Python or other scripting for data work.

What Success Looks Like in Year One
  • Own the analytics product end to end and be accountable for its delivery.
  • Ship production-quality Power BI and data-lake-backed analytics that Product and the business rely on day to day.
  • Partner with data engineering and Product to shape and deliver the analytics roadmap.

Why Dynasty
You will join a small, high-impact team at the center of Dynasty's data strategy, owning a product that matters and helping build the analytics platform of the future. You will learn and apply agile practices that support fast, high-quality delivery, and you will do it alongside smart, collaborative people in a positive environment. We believe that when good people work well together, they build something special.
