Job description

We offer complete membrane solutions like reverse osmosis, nanofiltration, ultrafiltration and microfiltration for water, waste water and process treatment and applications. Hydranautics membrane-based solutions are currently in use on seven continents throughout the world for diverse applications such as seawater desalination, industrial high-purity water, surface water treatment, waste water treatment and specialty process applications.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
Under general supervision, performs moderately complex maintenance related to operations, machinery equipment and automation systems like PLC programming. Incumbents perform major building electrical, construction and security equipment maintenance and repairs. Modifies, rebuilds and installs capital equipment. LEADS: Maintenance Technicians III/Leads provide leadership, schedule work hours/assignments and training to assigned staff; in addition, assumes Maintenance Supervisors' duties in their absence as it relates to work instructions only. Works flexible, alternate shifts: including nights, weekends and holidays as necessary.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Checks the operation of machines and trouble-shoots electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electronic, equipment and automation problems.
  2. Performs complex preventative and predictive maintenance on machines and equipment using various tools and equipment.
  3. Trouble-shoots electrical and electronic controls on manufacturing equipment for rebuilding, repairing or fabricating purposes.
  4. Diagnoses and resolves PLC issues with articulated robots using ladder logic and text-based logic programs.
  5. Modifies and rebuilds manufacturing equipment to meet new machine requirements or production demands with engineering support.
  6. Performs major building electrical, construction and security equipment maintenance and repairs. May perform machinist duties.
  7. Understands and interprets electronic schematics for trouble-shooting electronic equipment with minimal assistance.
  8. Documents all machine preventative, predictive and/or maintenance repairs clearly and concisely for historical and future maintenance purposes.
  9. Follow safety regulations and adhering to OSHA and Cal OSHA standards. Operates Forklifts, Genie Booms and Scissor lifts.
  10. Performs minor repairs on electronic circuit boards/control panels which control the automation of manufacturing equipment (Leads only).
  11. Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE:
  1. High School Diploma and 5 years' experience in an automation environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  2. Electromechanical Certificate, a plus.
  3. Advance knowledge of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic processes and repair methods/techniques.
  4. Must understand PLC ladder logic and text-based logic programs within control systems for manufacturing equipment.
  5. Intermediate to advance skills in reading and interpreting electrical and mechanical drawings, schematics and/or blueprints.
  6. Ability to read safety rules, operating & maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  7. Ability to train others in the maintenance of machines and continuous learning and application of maintenance techniques/methods.
  8. Ability to prioritize work orders while meeting deadlines to minimize production downtime.
  9. Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Enterprise Resources Planning (ERP) System.

CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES:
  1. Electromechanical Certificate, a plus.
  2. PLC Technician Certificate, a plus.
  3. Forklift, Genie Boom and Scissor Lift Certifications, a plus.

Salary $32.21 per hour
