Job description

Marketing Manager

We are seeking a Freelance Marketing Manager to lead high-impact marketing initiatives for a growing professional learning and development organization. This role will help build brand awareness, generate qualified demand, and increase engagement across a portfolio of courses, certifications, workshops, digital learning products, and corporate development solutions.

You will take ownership of campaign planning and execution, turning product insights and subject-matter expertise into compelling messaging for both individual learners and business decision-makers. Working closely with learning designers, trainers, sales stakeholders, and external partners, you will deliver integrated campaigns across digital, email, web, social media, content, events, and partner channels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute marketing plans aligned with commercial and audience-growth objectives.
  • Lead course, program, and product launches from positioning through campaign delivery.
  • Create or coordinate campaign assets, including landing pages, emails, social content, articles, case studies, brochures, and webinar promotions.
  • Manage paid digital marketing activity across channels such as search, LinkedIn, and social platforms.
  • Optimize website journeys, landing pages, lead capture, and nurture campaigns to improve conversion.
  • Support marketing for virtual and in-person events, workshops, and learning programs.
  • Track campaign performance and report on lead generation, registrations, engagement, conversion, and return on investment.
  • Use market research, audience insights, and competitor activity to identify growth opportunities.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure marketing activity reflects customer needs and commercial priorities.

About You

  • At least four years of hands-on marketing experience in education, training, e-learning, professional services, EdTech, or a related industry.
  • Demonstrated experience planning and delivering multi-channel marketing campaigns.
  • Strong copywriting, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Ability to develop clear value propositions and translate complex offerings into persuasive customer messaging.
  • Experience using CRM, email automation, CMS, paid advertising, and reporting tools.
  • Comfortable working independently, managing competing priorities, and delivering in a flexible freelance environment.

Desirable Experience

  • Marketing learning programs, certifications, online courses, corporate training, or events.
  • Knowledge of learner acquisition funnels, content-led demand generation, and B2B marketing.
  • Experience with LMS or LXP platforms, account-based marketing, or learning and development audiences.
