FUNCTION OVERVIEW

The Senior Oracle Fusion DevOps Engineer and Technical Software Engineer owns the design, implementation, administration, and continuous improvement of Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP release engineering, CI/CD, environment management, configuration migration, and deployment governance processes. This role requires deep hands-on expertise in Oracle Fusion DevOps practices, FlexDeploy (Flexagon), Oracle Configuration Set Migration (CSM), Functional Setup Manager (FSM), Oracle Visual Builder Studio, Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), source control, release orchestration, automated validation, and controlled deployment practices across Oracle Fusion environments.

Acting as the technical authority for Oracle Fusion builds, migrations, deployment readiness, and release execution, this individual partners closely with Oracle Fusion Business Systems Analysts, Technical Developers, Administrators, Integration Engineers, QA, Security, Finance, Supply Chain, Operations, and IT leadership to move configuration, integration, reporting, security, and extension changes through environments in a repeatable, auditable, and supportable manner.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Senior Oracle Fusion DevOps Engineer and Technical Software Engineer is a senior-level individual contributor responsible for owning the end-to-end Oracle Fusion delivery pipeline and technical release practices at Restaurant Technologies. Reporting to the Director of IT Software Engineering & ERP, this role serves as the build master and technical backbone of the Oracle Fusion ERP delivery team, coordinating controlled movement of Oracle Fusion configurations, integrations, reports, data migration artifacts, extensions, security changes, and technical components across development, test, UAT, training, and production environments.

This individual brings a strong combination of Oracle Fusion technical depth, DevOps discipline, release governance, automation mindset, and business partnership. The role works closely with Business Systems Analysts, Architects, Product Owners, Oracle Fusion Developers, Integration Engineers, Administrators, QA, and stakeholders to deliver reliable, scalable, and well-documented Oracle Fusion solutions within an Agile delivery environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Oracle Fusion DevOps & Release Engineering

Own Oracle Fusion CI/CD and release automation practices, including build, validation, deployment, release orchestration, and production deployment readiness for Oracle Fusion ERP and related technical components.

Design, maintain, monitor, and continuously improve Oracle Fusion deployment pipelines using FlexDeploy (Flexagon), Oracle Visual Builder Studio, Oracle CSM, FSM migration tools, Git-based repositories, and equivalent release automation technologies.

Establish and enforce source control, branching, pull request, peer review, approval, artifact versioning, and deployment promotion standards for Oracle Fusion technical changes.

Coordinate controlled deployments across development, test, SIT, UAT, training, stage, and production environments, ensuring sequencing, dependencies, change windows, approvals, and rollback considerations are clearly documented.

Implement automated and semi-automated quality gates, including deployment validation, migration verification, smoke testing evidence, security review checkpoints, code quality review, and release approval controls.

Serve as the primary build master and release coordinator for Oracle Fusion releases, patches, hot fixes, environment refresh considerations, quarterly updates, and production cutovers.

Own manual pre-deployment and post-deployment activities, including readiness checklists, artifact verification, environment validation, job monitoring, integration activation checks, and release closeout documentation.

Oracle Fusion Configuration Migration & Environment Governance

Lead configuration migration planning and execution using Oracle Configuration Set Migration (CSM), Functional Setup Manager (FSM), migration sets, implementation projects, setup task exports/imports, and equivalent approved tooling.

Manage migration approaches for Oracle Fusion configuration, setup data, application extensions, flexfields, value sets, lookups, messages, security-related artifacts, reports, analytics, and other supported configuration objects.

Compare and validate source and target environment readiness before migration, including release level alignment, patch considerations, sandbox status, dependent configurations, missing roles, and target environment readiness.

Coordinate sandbox, mainline, import, preview, validation, apply, and post-migration verification activities for Oracle Fusion configuration changes.

Partner with Oracle Fusion administrators, functional analysts, security owners, and business process owners to reduce configuration drift, improve traceability, and keep lower environments aligned with production needs.

Document configuration migration plans, delta/full migration considerations, known exclusions, manual migration steps, role dependencies, validation evidence, and post-migration support notes.

Oracle Fusion Technical Engineering/Development

Design, build, maintain, and support Oracle Fusion technical solutions using Oracle Integration Cloud, BI Publisher, OTBI, Oracle Visual Builder, REST services, SOAP services, SQL, PL/SQL, FBDI, ADFDI, BICC extracts, ESS jobs, and related Oracle Cloud technologies.

Translate business and functional requirements into technical designs, deployment plans, integration patterns, report specifications, data migration approaches, and supportable implementation assets.

Develop and maintain integrations, reports, extracts, extensions, automation scripts, validation utilities, deployment procedures, technical specifications, data flow diagrams, and architecture decision records.

Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex production issues across Oracle Fusion application behavior, integrations, data movement, reporting, scheduled jobs, environment configuration, and deployment processes.

Proactively identify technical debt, release bottlenecks, recurring migration issues, integration risks, configuration drift, and opportunities to improve deployment reliability and operational supportability.

Evaluate and recommend frameworks, tools, standards, and automation approaches that improve Oracle Fusion development efficiency, deployment quality, release traceability, and long-term maintainability.

Mentor less senior developers, administrators, analysts, and technical team members on release discipline, deployment automation, Oracle Fusion technical standards, and supportable engineering practices.

Other duties as assigned.

Oracle Integration, Reporting & Extension DevOps

Automate and govern movement of OIC integrations, connections, lookups, packages, activation steps, and deployment artifacts across Oracle environments in partnership with integration teams.

Manage deployment and validation of BI Publisher, OTBI, reporting catalog objects, data models, templates, extracts, scheduled reports, and related reporting dependencies.

Support Oracle Visual Builder Studio, Visual Builder extensions, APEX, REST API, and related application extension release practices, including pipeline-enabled deployment where appropriate.
