Job Description About the Opportunity

McCulloh Consulting is seeking an experienced OBIEEProgrammer Analyst – Oracle Reporting and Analytics for a full-time, on-site opportunity.

This position is responsible for designing, developing, enhancing, and supporting enterprise reports, dashboards, and analytics solutions within an Oracle environment. The Programmer Analyst will work closely with business leaders, functional teams, and information technology partners to understand reporting requirements and translate them into accurate, reliable, and actionable business intelligence solutions.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence (OTBI), Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE), and Oracle BI Publisher, along with strong SQL development skills. Experience with Oracle Fusion Data Intelligence (FDI) or Fusion Analytics Warehouse (FAW) is highly desirable.

This is an individual-contributor position suited for a technically capable reporting professional who can independently manage assignments, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and support reporting solutions throughout their full lifecycle.

What You Will Do

Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain enterprise reports, dashboards, analytics, and data extracts using Oracle reporting technologies.

Build and enhance solutions using Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence, Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition, and Oracle BI Publisher.

Meet with business stakeholders to understand operational challenges, reporting needs, key performance indicators, and data requirements.

Translate business requirements into technical reporting specifications and scalable analytics solutions.

Write, optimize, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries used for reporting, data validation, reconciliation, and analysis.

Develop dashboards and reports that present business information in a clear, accurate, and actionable format.

Create Oracle BI Publisher data models, layouts, templates, bursting configurations, and scheduled report processes.

Develop and maintain OTBI analyses, dashboards, prompts, filters, calculated fields, and subject‑area reporting.

Support existing OBIEE reports and dashboards while assisting with modernization or migration initiatives when needed.

Validate report results against source systems and business expectations to ensure data accuracy and consistency.

Investigate discrepancies, identify root causes, and resolve reporting or data‑related issues.

Maintain appropriate report security, access controls, and data visibility based on organizational requirements.

Support scheduled reports, production reporting processes, system updates, enhancements, and release‑related testing.

Partner with functional teams across areas such as finance, human resources, recruiting, supply chain, operations, and other business functions.

Document report requirements, technical designs, data mappings, testing results, deployment procedures, and support instructions.

Assist users with report interpretation, troubleshooting, and effective use of Oracle analytics tools.

Monitor report performance and improve queries, data models, or report designs when performance issues arise.

Participate in project meetings, testing activities, system implementations, and continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Follow established development, change‑management, documentation, data‑governance, and information‑security standards.

Keep current with Oracle reporting capabilities, platform updates, and business intelligence best practices.

What Success Looks Like

A successful Programmer Analyst will:

  • Deliver accurate reports and dashboards that help business teams make informed decisions.
  • Develop stable, maintainable solutions that meet both functional and technical requirements.
  • Build productive relationships with business stakeholders and technology partners.
  • Diagnose reporting and data issues efficiently and communicate findings clearly.
  • Balance immediate reporting requests with long‑term quality, scalability, and maintainability.
  • Take ownership of assigned work from requirements gathering through deployment and ongoing support.
  • Improve the accessibility, reliability, and usefulness of organizational data.
Why Consider This Opportunity?

This position offers the opportunity to support enterprise‑level reporting and analytics within a large, operationally complex organization. The selected candidate will work directly with business stakeholders, develop solutions that influence organizational decisions, and expand their expertise across Oracle reporting and analytics technologies.

The role may be especially attractive to someone who wants to:

  • Own meaningful analytics and reporting projects.
  • Work with modern Oracle Fusion reporting technologies.
  • Gain exposure to multiple business functions and enterprise data domains.
  • Develop solutions that directly support operational and strategic decisions.
  • Join a stable organization offering a comprehensive benefits package and long‑term professional growth opportunities.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, data analytics, business technology, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in business intelligence, analytics, report development, application development, or a related technical role.
  • Hands‑on experience developing reports and analytics with Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence, commonly known as OTBI.
  • Hands‑on experience with Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition, commonly known as OBIEE.
  • Experience developing reports, data models, and templates with Oracle BI Publisher.
  • Strong SQL skills, including the ability to develop, troubleshoot, and optimize complex queries.
  • Experience gathering reporting requirements and translating business needs into technical solutions.
  • Ability to analyze data, identify inconsistencies, and validate results across multiple systems or reporting sources.
  • Experience testing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting reports in a production environment.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to business users and nontechnical stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments, priorities, and deadlines with limited supervision.
  • Ability to work full‑time at the company’s Millsboro, Delaware location.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Oracle Fusion Data Intelligence, or FDI.
  • Experience with Oracle Fusion Analytics Warehouse, or FAW.
  • Experience creating or supporting Oracle Fusion Cloud reporting solutions.
  • Experience with Oracle Recruiting Cloud reporting or other Oracle HCM reporting environments.
  • Knowledge of PL/SQL, stored procedures, functions, packages, or database programming concepts.
  • Experience supporting analytics for finance, human resources, recruiting, supply chain, manufacturing, or operational business functions.
  • Experience developing executive dashboards, operational scorecards, key performance indicators, and self‑service analytics.
  • Understanding of data models, subject areas, joins, calculated measures, dimensional reporting, and reporting‑security concepts.
  • Experience working within a large manufacturing, food production, distribution, agricultural, or similarly complex operating environment.
  • Familiarity with software development lifecycle, testing, release management, and change‑control practices.

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $90,000–$100,000 per year.
