Responsibilities:

  • Perform visual and mechanical inspection of printed circuit assemblies (PCAs) and electronic components.
  • Verify workmanship to IPC-610 and J-STD-001 standards.
  • Inspect conformal coating applications for coverage, thickness, and defects.
  • Identify and document defects, non-conformances, and quality issues.
  • Utilize inspection tools including calipers, gauges, and optical inspection equipment (microscopes, magnifiers, etc.).
  • Interpret drawings, schematics, work instructions, and acceptance criteria.
  • Support root cause analysis and corrective action activities.
  • Maintain accurate inspection records and documentation.
  • Work closely with production and engineering teams to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Perform process quality audits.

Skills/Experience/Training Requirements:

  • Current IPC-A-610 Certification (Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies)
  • Current J-STD-001 Certification (Requirements for Soldered Electrical and Electronics Assemblies)
    • If not currently certified, will be responsible for completing training to become certified.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and specifications.
  • Proficiency in using inspection tools (calipers, gauges, microscopes, optical scopes, etc.) for extended periods of time.
  • Soldering experience a plus.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
