CNC Machinist needed in North Phoenix - Night Shift (20% night shift differential pay)Aerospace & Defense ManufacturingCNC Mill or CNC Lathe - NIGHT SHIFTLocation: 2688 E Rose Garden Ln, Phoenix, AZ 85050 (North Phoenix)Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship or Valid Permanent Resident status is required.20% night shift differential pay!CNC LathesCNC Mills5 Axis + MachinistKey Responsibilities:Review/study MOT's, blueprints, and sketches to determine operations to be performed on partDetermines fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, programs, and gages neededAligns and secures holding fixture, installs cutting tools in proper holders and puts holder in machine and sets tools offsetsEnsure the inspection department work flow is supporting production needsLoads programs corresponding to the operation into computer, checks tools and programs are in correct order of operation and edits program, if necessaryStarts and observes machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjusts machine controls as requiredSets up and maintains proper inspection method for all machined parts and communicates with coworkers where necessary for smooth transition of work shiftsPerforms in-process inspectionsCompletes all paperwork including MOTs, DMRs, Non-Conforming Material requests, and First Article Inspection Forms in accordance to our procedures and policiesIdentifies and records non-conforming parts as discrepantVerifies quantity, customer part number and revision to the MOT and Blueprints Adhere to company policies and procedures, including ITAR and other compliance regulationsBasic Skills & Abilities:Basic use of CNC control, operation, and maintenance requirementsRead and understand B/P's, including assemblies, dimensions, tolerances, symbols, notes, abbreviations, geometric dimensions, tolerance, and other standard nomenclature per customer, government, or industry standardsLoads material/parts into machine and programsDaily maintenance on machine (checking fluid levels, cleaning out chips)In process inspection of partsEnter tool offsets to compensate for tool wear Replacement of worn or damaged tools (inserts, boring bars, end mills drills, etc.)Filling out the MOT and their Job Sheets properlyMaintaining correct count of parts on the MOT for their operationsTagging hardware and recording discrepancies on proper paperwork for hardware known to the operator to be discrepantRecording inspection data at proper intervals per the Inspection Traveler or other company paperworkCommunicate any job-related issues / questions (part feature, program, inspection, etc.) to lead person for resolution / clarificationMaintain a clean and organized workspaceReport all machine malfunctions to the leadTo read initial and date reject histories attached to MOT'sPhysical Requirements:Physical Demands: Must be able to stand for the majority of the work shift, reach overhead, and bend to the floor. - exert 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, andor exert 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, andor - exert up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objectsVisual Acuity: Ability to detect surface defects, tool wear, or measurement deviations - good near vision for reading drawings, measurements, and digital readouts, and computer screensMust tolerate exposure to machining dust, oils, and moderate noise levels in a manufacturing environmentTeam oriented company with top paying wages and benefits in the valley in regards to the Aerospace Industry.
