Job description

The Specialist, Global Events, supports the Project Manager in leading and organizing multiple projects in exhibitions & special events. This role assists in conceptual design, design development, project reviews, project communications and operations, quality and design control, scheduling, and project reporting. The individual must be creative, detail-oriented, and able to develop design concepts within Tiffany and Company standards, while managing the overall scheduling and budget of projects under the guidance of the Project Manager.

The ideal candidate will possess strong project management support skills, attention to detail, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to assist in managing multiple vendors, projects, tasks, and navigating budgets, negotiations, and technical complexities of special event projects. A critical aspect of this role involves strong graphic design capabilities and understanding of CAD, SketchUp and/or Adobe suite specifically in drawing floor plans, lighting plots, audio plots, and rendering designs, to bring conceptual designs to life.

Location: This position is in-person at our Corporate Headquarters in New York, NY.

Key Accountabilities

Project Management

  • Support the Project Manager in the conceptualizing and management of strategic events linked to retail objectives to support Tiffany's business goals.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on events such as product launches, boutique opening concepts, and VIC client experience programs.
  • Help develop and manage project plans, ensuring the project team is clear on deliverables, timelines, and roles and responsibilities.
  • Assist in developing and managing the overall event processes, proactively developing various components (including event concept, decor, entertainment, social activations, etc.) involving key stakeholders.
  • Provide support to the Project Manager, Director, and VP with day-to-day project responsibilities, agency, client, and freelance team management.
  • Maintain working knowledge of budgets and negotiations while strengthening proficiency in logistics, functioning, and formatting.
  • Stay updated on current and relevant areas of design, technology, industry standards, creative vendors/talent, music, pop culture, etc.

Vendor Partnership

  • Collaborate with leadership to source and secure project resources within budget.
  • Help foster and maintain relationships within the events industry and appropriate event vendors.
  • Assist in sourcing and managing production companies, agencies, and vendors to ensure they meet the specific design direction and guidelines in line with Tiffany's strategy, brand, image, and budget.
  • Uphold and promote Tiffany brand ideals with vendors and freelancers within the industry.

The hiring range for this position ranges from $70,125 - $94,875. The rate of pay offered will be dependent upon candidates' relevant skills and experience.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or relevant experience.
  • 5+ years of experience on events & exhibitions in luxury, fashion & jewelry retail, branding and design industries.
  • Proficiency in graphic design principles and experience with design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop, Illustrator).
  • Demonstrated experience with CAD software for drawing floor plans, lighting plots, audio plots, and rendering designs.
  • Strong believer in teamwork and multidisciplinary approach, able to create excellent interpersonal relations.
  • Passion for building brands and challenging status quo, with a cultural awareness that advises key concepts and emerging trends.
  • Strong drive for outstanding and magnificent execution and attention to details.
  • Proactive attitude and comfortable navigating through uncertainty while continuing to set challenging objectives and goals.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of competitive luxury landscape.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, Adobe and PowerPoint.
