Job description

Health Policy & Management - AI Data Trainer About the Role Your public health expertise is more valuable than you think - especially to the AI systems that are rapidly becoming a primary source of health information for millions of people worldwide. Alignerr partners with the world's leading AI research labs to train and refine cutting-edge AI models. We're looking for Masters in Public Health (MPH) graduates and public health professionals to help ensure these models deliver accurate, evidence-based, and ethically sound health guidance. This is a fully remote, flexible contract role where your domain knowledge directly shapes how AI understands population health, epidemiology, biostatistics, and health policy. What You'll Do
  • Design Complex Public Health Scenarios - Create challenging, real-world prompts involving disease outbreak simulations, health equity assessments, and interpretation of clinical trial data to rigorously test AI reasoning.
  • Author Ground-Truth Responses - Write detailed, step-by-step model answers that draw on peer-reviewed research, epidemiological evidence, and established guidelines from bodies like the CDC and WHO.
  • Audit AI Outputs - Critically evaluate AI-generated health advice and policy recommendations for factual accuracy, logical consistency, potential bias, and adherence to ethical standards.
  • Refine AI Reasoning - Provide structured, expert feedback that helps AI models distinguish correlation from causation, communicate health risk appropriately, and serve diverse populations equitably.
Who You Are
  • Holder of a Masters in Public Health (MPH) , Master of Science in Public Health (MSPH), or closely related graduate degree
  • Strong foundational knowledge in at least two of: Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Environmental Health, or Health Policy
  • Skilled at translating complex health data into clear, culturally sensitive, and actionable written content
  • Meticulous attention to detail - especially around statistical significance, citations, and the logic of health interventions
  • Self-directed and comfortable working independently in an asynchronous environment
  • No prior AI experience required
Nice to Have
  • Experience with data annotation, quality review, or evaluation workflows
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools such as R, SAS, or Stata
  • Background in health communication, clinical research coordination, or public health surveillance
Why Join Us
  • High-impact work - Your expertise directly improves how AI handles real public health questions that affect real people
  • Fully remote and flexible - Work on your own schedule, 10-40 hours per week
  • Engage with cutting-edge AI - Collaborate with models at the frontier of language and reasoning research
  • Freelance autonomy - High agency, variety of tasks, and no micromanagement
  • Ongoing opportunity - Strong performers are considered for contract renewals and expanded projects
