Job Purpose:
- The Mortgage Loan Officer at CREATE CREDIT UNION is responsible for developing and maintaining successful relationships with business referral sources, existing and prospective Create CU members, and identifying new mortgage lending opportunities. This role involves meeting with customers during various stages of the loan process and utilizing Create CU training to ensure a smooth and efficient mortgage experience.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain successful relationships with business referral sources, existing and prospective Create CU members.
- Prospect new mortgage lending opportunities to expand the credit union's reach and customer base.
- Meet with customers as necessary during various stages of the loan process to provide guidance and support.
- Utilize Create CU training to stay informed about the latest mortgage products and industry trends.
- Review and analyze credit and financial data to assess borrower eligibility and risk.
- Ensure compliance with State-Non Depository Mortgage Loan Originator licensing requirements through the Nationwide Multistate Licensing System and Registry (NMLS).
- Collaborate with other team members to achieve departmental goals and enhance the overall customer experience.

Required Education:
- Must have a State-Non Depository Mortgage Loan Originator license through the Nationwide Multistate Licensing System and Registry (NMLS)
- High School Diploma or equivalent

Preferred Education:
- 4-year college degree preferred

Required Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years residential mortgage lending experience

Required Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to develop and maintain successful relationships with business referral sources, existing and prospective Create CU members
- Proficiency in prospecting new mortgage lending opportunities
- Competence in meeting with customers during various stages of the loan process
- Skill in reviewing and analyzing credit and financial data
- Experience working with active borrowers
- Utilization of Create CU training
