Join Traxial as a Mechanical Design Engineer - Robotics and help shape compact, high-performance actuators for robotics. You'll translate demanding motion requirements into practical, manufacturable mechanical designs.

About the role

This is what you'll do:

  • Design and develop mechanical solutions for robotic systems, from concept through prototype and production.
  • Create detailed 3D CAD models and 2D manufacturing drawings, applying relevant industry standards and GD&T.
  • Perform and support mechanical calculations and design verification to ensure performance, reliability, and durability.
  • Work closely with suppliers and subcontractors on components, manufacturing processes, tolerances, materials, and specifications.
  • Support prototype builds, testing, troubleshooting, and continuous design improvement.

Who are we looking for?

  • Master's degree in Mechanical or Electro-Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in the design and development of robotic systems, actuators, or precision motion systems.
  • Proficient in Siemens NX, Teamcenter PDM, or similar CAD/PDM tools.
  • Strong understanding of robotics system requirements and performance specifications, with the ability to translate payload, speed, torque, force, power, accuracy and duty cycle into mechanical design requirements.
  • Strong awareness of the latest trends and technologies in robotics, with a good understanding of emerging robotic architectures, actuation technologies, and motion solutions.
  • This position requires existing work authorization in Belgium.
  • A team player with a can-do mentality, creative mindset, and fluent English.
