Role Specific Information

Job Description

This role is based at our Corporate Office in Menomonee Falls, WI. You'll work onsite from Monday through Thursday, with the option to work remotely on Fridays.

About the Role

As Art Director, you will lead creative development, in partnership with Strategy, for marketing, advertising and promotional campaigns and set the creative tone for Designers to follow from initial concept through hand off to production.

What You'll Do

  • Act as creative lead to direct creative team throughout the creative process

  • Lead and participate in creative brainstorms

  • Interpret strategy and sets creative tone that delivers on business objectives and strategy

  • Collaborate with photo and key partners with copy in creative execution

  • Responsible for delivering presentations with input from Designers

  • Ensure that creative presentation (boards/in store) are prepared and presents creative to Manager

  • Review all stages of project with Manager

  • Mentor creative team, freelancers and interns

  • Work with Project Coordinators to ensure timely delivery and accuracy of tool kits

  • Set creative vision and guides Designers throughout project

  • Manage ambiguity in a fast-paced environment

  • Additional tasks may be assigned as necessary

What Skills You Have

Required

  • BFA or equivalent degree required

  • 4-5 years experience

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills required

  • Software requirements: Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Acrobat

  • Must be a strategic and conceptual thinker with the ability to ideate and execute creative for multiple print mediums

  • Must have experience multitasking and working on various levels of creative and multiple brands in a very fast-paced environment

  • Exceptional organization, time management and multi-tasking skills required

  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills required

  • Strong presentation skills required

  • Ability to discern color

Preferred

  • Experience with managing creative projects from concept to production

  • Experience with retail workflow, processes, and structure

  • Advanced knowledge of four-color, spot, and digital printing processes and prepress requirements
